On the Farm

From our family to yours… we would like to extend a warm welcome to you all.

Our Pick Your Own farm is situated right in the heart of the Vale of Glamorgan and located in Bonvilston on the A48.

We offer various fruit picking experiences throughout the year for family members of all ages to enjoy.

Welcome Back!

We are so excited to open our farm and show all the improvements we made over the winter!

All our strawberries are now planted on tabletops for easy accessibility and we have raspberries to offer from mid-July 2022!

Our popular maize maze designed to celebrate the Queen’s Platinium Jubilee will open in August 2022 and our on-site cafe is new and improved for the summer season!

Our Strawberry Vale Cafe

Our beautiful cafe is offering a choice of delicious cakes, cream teas, ice creams as well as a wide selection of hot and cold drinks!

Treat yourself during your visit to the farm!

If you would like to just pay our cafe a visit, you are more than welcome to try out our yummy cakes!

Family orientated!

We are a family-run farm and you’ll find three generations of our family working here! We have our own little humans running around helping out and we love welcoming families of all ages.

We want families and groups of friends to visit our farm and have a happy enjoyable day out together!

Our team

Rob Saunders - Director

Over the past 20 years, Rob has built up a healthy herd of Charolais beef cattle but has now taken the bold move to diversify into pick your own fruit farming. It's certainly been an adventure and not one that he regrets....yet!

Rachel Saunders - Director

Before setting up Vale PYO in 2020 with Rob, Rachel qualified as a solicitor and worked at the Farmers' Union of Wales for nearly 10 years. Rachel looks after most aspects of the business as well as two small humans so she has exceptional organisational skills!

Cath Taylor-Jarvis - General Manager

Cath manages the day-to-day running of the farm during the busy open seasons. Cath previously worked as a project manager for 15 years within the creative industry and she brings a wealth of innovation to the Vale PYO planning table during closed seasons!

Luca Saunders - The Real Boss

Not your typical farm dog, Luca is super friendly and enjoys keeping us company out in the field. He also makes a fine office pup...always on hand for a cuddle!

We look forward to seeing you on the farm soon
